FAQ
Before you book
The questions that actually stop a first in-home booking, answered directly.
How much space do you need?
About 7 by 8 feet, with room to walk around the table. A cleared living room floor is usually plenty. If you are not sure, send a photo of the room and you will get a straight answer before you book.
What do you bring, and what do I need to have?
I bring a professional table when requested, unscented oil and cream, bolsters and face cradle, music, if you want it. For a session in a private residence or hotel, please have a clean set of linens or towels ready. You will also need about 7 by 8 feet, with room to walk around the table. and somewhere to place your clothes.
What do I wear?
Whatever you like. You undress to your comfort level and stay covered by a sheet the entire time, except the area being worked on.
Is it strange having someone come to my home?
It is a fair thing to ask. You are booking one licensed therapist whose name, license number, and face are on this site — not an anonymous dispatch. You will know exactly who is arriving before they do.
Will I be covered in oil afterward?
No. The oil used absorbs cleanly and what is left gets worked out at the end of the session. Most people go straight to bed. If you would rather shower, that is fine too.
What about my dog?
Dogs are welcome to be in the room and most of them settle under the table within a few minutes. If yours would rather supervise from a distance, that is also fine. Just mention it when you book.
Do you take tips?
Included in the price. Never expected on top.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel or move a session up to 24 hours ahead at no cost. Inside 24 hours, 50% of the session fee is charged. A complete no-show is always charged 50% of the session fee.
Where do you travel?
New York City, New York State, and Destination Travel. August–September online availability is based in Montauk. Manhattan and all other locations are available by private request.
Can I book for a group or workplace?
Yes. Private group bookings, corporate wellness days, events, and recurring workplace programs are planned by quote so the timing and setup fit the room and the number of people.
Do you offer gift cards and packages?
Gift cards cover a specific session length. Multi-session packages are also being prepared for clients who want a structured recovery series; package pricing is confirmed before purchase.
What will be in the guides area?
The Laboratory of God houses The Herbal Cabinet, traditional body maps, historical practices, and evidence-aware wellness notes. Separate practical guides cover recovery between sessions and travel or desk mobility.
